Deep Root™

Keeping with our goal of focusing on nutrients first over other “exotic” ingredients, we created a planting mix that has everything you need to achieve “Deep Roots.” Our Deep Root™ blend consists of a large amount of our super fine, 100% Certified Organic Compost that is OMRI Listed and screened to a 1⁄4” average size, and is then blended with other sustainable ingredients such as 100% Certified Organic and OMRI Listed Peat Moss (for aeration, drainage, soil tilth), Rice Hulls (for aeration), and BioChar (aeration, water retention, home for microbes) to create an extremely high quality planting soil suitable for a wide range of plants. Our planting blend rivals (if not exceeds) the results of other well-known, and more expensive planting blends. Super fine in texture, this blend trades a higher percentage of compost for a lower percentage of peat moss than what is in our First Leaf™ Blend, while still retaining excellent aeration, tilth, and moisture retention. Perfect for gardening and planting when a super fine texture is preferred for planting in small containers and pots, up potting seedlings, and use in raised beds.
